PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
The Program Manager (Nigeria) provides programmatic, administrative, and operational support to the IFES-Nigeria office, specifically by supporting the planning and implementation of activities, as well as supporting administrative tasks, such as procurement and/or monitoring and evaluation, pertinent to those activities. The Program Manager (Nigeria) will work closely with and report to the Country Director
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROGRAMMATIC
- Supports the Country Director in planning and implementing activities.
- Documents and present high-quality field reports of activities and events to be reviewed and included in quarterly reports and other donor deliverables, as needed.
- Formulates strategies and design innovative solutions to resolve issues/conflicts in support of activity implementation;
- Work with the Country Director to draft meeting/workshop invitations, materials, and agendas.
- Coordinates development of IFES Nigeria program one-pagers, analyses, FAQs and contribute to quarterly reports.
- Provides support to International and Local consultants supporting the Nigeria program activities;
- Maintains detailed records of program activities and files;
- Provides input on the design and formulation of new program activities;
MONITORING AND EVALUATION:
- Assists the Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant in developing and implementing M&E frameworks and tools.
- Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to project activities and outcomes.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for M&E activities, including field visits and data collection exercises.
- Contribute to the development of M&E reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS:
- Provide logistics support for meetings/workshops, including but not limited to, identifying workshop venues, developing and distributing invitations, taking attendance on time, and following up with financial disbursements from finance.
- Supporting safety measure considerations are incorporated into all IFES Nigeria activities;
- Delivering administrative services in the most efficient manner to facilitate the functions of other sections;
- Assisting in maintaining and disseminating security and health updates to IFES Nigeria staff and related vendors as needed;
- Performing any other duty as assigned by the Country Director .
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, Business Management, Public Administration, International Relations, International Development or a related field is required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience with procurement and administration;
- The ability to remain organized while handling multiple and problematic tasks;
- Prior experience in procurement is required, with preference for experience working in procurement for international NGOs or international organizations;
- Prior experience in working on an international donor-funded projects strongly preferred;
- Prior experience working on other International Donor-funded projects which may include but not limited to the EU, FCDO, etc., is desired;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required;
- Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively;
- Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills are necessary;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Ability to detect problems and produce acceptable solutions.
- Ability to complete tasks with no supervision;
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet IFES Nigeria deadlines;
- Ability to maintain and keep secrecy on all administrative and personnel issues;

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in English language required.
TRAVEL: Travel within Nigeria is required.
