  • Program Assitant

    Location: FCT, AbujaReports to: Program Coordinator

    Contract length: 3 years

    Remuneration: Negotiable and competitive within the sector.

    Main Role:

    Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator and other partner organizations, the Program Assistant will have the following specific responsibilities and will provide the following deliverables:

    • Maintain organized records and documentation related to project activities, including reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
    • Assist in preparing presentations, training materials, and other documents as required.
    • Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for project staff and send to procurement for logistics arrangement.
    • Support procurement processes by obtaining quotations, liaising with vendors, and tracking orders.
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
    • Support the dissemination of project information through newsletters, emails, and social media updates.
    • Assist in collecting and organizing data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
    • Support the preparation of progress reports, activity updates, and success stories.
    • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports and other deliverables.

    Educational qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience in administrative or programmatic roles, preferably within advocacy or development projects.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    Work Environment:

    • Traditional Office hours of 9 am – 5 pm on weekdays
    • Ability to travel to project sites and assist in event coordination as needed.
