    Production Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee and direct all daily manufacturing activities on the factory floor.
    • Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the ideal candidatewill be responsible for scaling output, optimizing machine efficiency, managing shift teams, and ensuring that all products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to exact quality and safety specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Production Planning: Execute production schedules and resource allocations based on sales forecasts to ensure 100% product availability.
    • Floor Management: Oversee daily factory floor operations, monitoring line performance, throughput, and yield to meet or exceed daily targets.
    • Efficiency & OEE: Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), identify manufacturing bottlenecks, and implement workflows to minimize downtime and material waste.
    • Quality & Safety Alignment: Partner with the QC and HSE teams to strictly enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP standards, and workplace safety protocols across all shifts.
    • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate shift supervisors and line operators; manage shift rotations, labor costs, and training plans.
    • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with the engineering team to plan preventive machine maintenance schedules, minimizing disruptions to active production runs.
    • Data Reporting: Maintain precise records of raw material utilization, batch output, and labor hours; generate daily and weekly production performance reports.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–7 years of hands-on experience in production line management, with at least 3 years as a Production Manager or Assistant Manager in a food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing plant.
    • Strong understanding of automated food processing equipment, packaging machinery, mass-balance calculations, and food safety systems (ISO 22000/FSSC).
    • Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S principles, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly advantageous.
    • Strong leadership, excellent crisis-management capabilities, sharp analytical skills, and the flexibility to manage multi-shift operations.
