The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle of CIG Motors' automotive offerings, from concept to market launch, ensuring that all products align with customer needs and business goals.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to develop and optimize products that lead to market growth and customer satisfaction.
The Product Manager must have a strong understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape to ensure CIG Motors remains at the forefront of the automotive industry in Africa
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product strategies that align with the company’s commercial goals.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for product launches and enhancements.
Work with the marketing and sales teams to create effective promotional plans, sales strategies, and product positioning.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to launch and post-launch performance tracking.
Work with design, R&D, and production teams to ensure that products meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for product improvements and new product development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that product strategies are aligned with revenue targets and commercial priorities.
Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to ensure that CIG Motors remains competitive.
Regularly engage with key customers service team to gather insight on product performance and future needs.
Track and analyze product performance metrics, including sales figures, market share, and customer satisfaction.
Implement corrective actions where necessary to ensure that products meet commercial expectations.
Lead initiatives to advise on new products and its acceptance in the market.
Explore new technologies and trends to enhance the company's product offerings and increase market share.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA or Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, preferably within the automotive or commercial sectors.
Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and product lifecycle management.
Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency in ERP systems, project management tools, and data analysis software.
