As a Procurement Trainee at Geoplex Drillteq Limited, you will support the procurement team in executing sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities. You will be expected to learn and adhere to procurement policies, build supplier relationships, and contribute to the efficient delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and procurement documents
Support the sourcing and evaluation of vendors, quotes, and suppliers
Track and monitor open orders, delivery timelines, and supplier performance
Maintain the procurement database, supplier records, and inventory logs
Collaborate with internal departments to clarify material or service requirements
Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and standards
Participate in cost comparison and reporting of procurement metrics
Perform administrative tasks related to procurement and logistics documentation
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
0–1 year of relevant experience or NYSC placement
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
