    Procurement Officer

    Role Summary

    The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers to support SKLD Integrated Services’ operations across retail, manufacturing, distribution, and project-based procurement. The role focuses on cost efficiency, quality assurance, timely delivery, and supplier relationship management while ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors for goods, materials, and services in line with SKLD’s operational needs.
    • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
    • Conduct market research and supplier analysis to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
    • Track procurement orders from placement through delivery, resolving delays, shortages, or quality issues.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, pricing lists, and inventory reports.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, retail, manufacturing) to forecast demand and plan purchases.
    • Monitor supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternative sourcing options.
    • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2–4 years relevant procurement experience, preferably within retail, sourcing, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
