We are looking for a talented PR & Communications Manager who is passionate and detail-oriented to build and lead the PR & Comms team to grow recognition of RightCom as the leading customer experience management company in Africa by improving business impact for our customers and leveraging the extensive knowledge of our teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive PR communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s objectives
Plan and execute PR and media relations campaigns to promote the organization’s brand
Manage all external comms responsible for fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders
Lead & evaluate PR agencies: PR comms calendar, comms opportunities, PR campaigns
Collaborate with senior leaders and department heads to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
Manage crisis communications and serve as a spokesperson for the organization when needed
Monitor key debates and identifying story opportunities as well as potential issues
Organize media events and media attendance at events and conferences;
Supervise the active monitoring of the company’s reputation
Showcase the success and demonstrate the value of PR to the business.
Manage the budget for the PR communications department and ensure that resources are used effectively
Encourage sharing of best practice between countries
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
4+ years PR & comms experience (either PR agency and in-house experience)
Solid understanding of the Nigeria and Africa media landscape
Experience working with international teams, or on global PR comms
Excellent command of the English language and preferably excellent command of the French language
Advanced computer literacy is required.
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills—you thrive on the details and the big picture too
Experience collaborating effectively on campaigns with stakeholders across multiple teams & managing PR agencies
Experience with media and community events
Strong international media network experience and networking attitude
Ability to find/review ambassadors, and spokespeople and brief/craft messaging for them is a plus
