The photographer role involves working closely with clients to capture photos of people, places, and things through the use of creativity and technical abilities in photographic equipment and photo manipulation software. To ensure that desired results are obtained, you would need to properly plan, shape, and communicate effectively with subjects regarding expectations in order to meet standards and deadlines of projects, you would also need to produce photo sessions which could be in-house or external shoots which would be handled from idea conception to final delivery. Other duties include recommending creative ideas and solutions to achieve desired results and maintaining a professional image.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
• Take professional pictures in a studio or on location (this role would require you to take pictures of people using our products in their businesses across different locations)
• Produce photography for a variety of media (largely digital).
• Deliver final product to various sources including internal and external customers, media, graphic designers, and corporate communications.
• Shooting poses that don’t look “staged”
• Perform retouching and image adjustments after shoots.
• Use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses etc)
• Arrange objects, scenes, lighting, and background to adhere to specifications
• Direct participants
• Choosing and setting up locations
• Recommend creative ideas to exceed expectations of goals and objectives
• Archive photographic images and maintain a database

The Person

• Proven professional shooting experience
• Eye-catching portfolio
• Proficient with traditional and modern equipment
• Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, or other photography specific software
• Shooting, lighting, and printing skills
• Competency in applying photography best practices and techniques
• Knowledge of production process for online publishing and various printing applications
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed knowledge of photography art and lighting
• Strong creative presence and artistic flair
• Strong focus with a desire to over-deliver on quality
• Able to follow instructions clearly to achieve desired results
• Able to stand and move around for long periods at a time
• Flexibility to go to different locations as required of the job
