    Pharmacist

    Job Responsibilities

    • Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring the correct dosage, strength, and usage instructions in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Educate patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, interactions, and storage conditions to promote medication adherence and safety.
    • Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and possible drug interactions or contraindications before dispensing.
    • Monitor, manage, and maintain pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring availability of essential drugs and timely restocking while minimizing expiries and wastage.
    • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and laboratory scientists to ensure coordinated care, especially in the interpretation of prescriptions and therapeutic recommendations.
    • Monitor and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and ensure accurate record-keeping of dispensed medications, controlled drugs, and patient medication histories.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
    • Licensed and registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
    • Minimum of 1–3 years post-NYSC experience in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic center setting.
    • Good knowledge of clinical pharmacology and drug interactions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
    • Familiarity with pharmacy software and digital records management is an added advantage.
    • Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Aba and the close environs.
