    Pack Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Pack Manager is responsible for overseeing the grading, sorting, packaging, and dispatch of poultry products, primarily eggs, ensuring quality, hygiene, and timely delivery. This role is central to maintaining operational efficiency, enforcing quality standards, and supervising packaging staff within a high-volume poultry operation.
    • The Pack Manager plays a key role in ensuring that customer specifications and regulatory standards are consistently met while supporting the production team with data and logistics coordination.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supervise the daily operations of the packing unit, ensuring that products are graded, sorted, and packed accurately and efficiently.
    • Ensure adherence to quality control measures and protocols throughout the packaging process.
    • Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure seamless product flow and dispatch.
    • Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate timely replenishment.
    • Train, schedule, and supervise packing staff, ensuring adherence to productivity and safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of packed products, waste, and dispatch logs for reporting and traceability.
    • Identify and resolve operational issues to reduce downtime and improve packaging efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality management systems.
    • Conduct regular audits of packing procedures and implement process improvements where necessary.
    • Report production output, team performance, and packing metrics to management.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agriculture, Food Science, Production Management, or a related discipline.
    • Relevant training in quality control, logistics, or production operations is an added advantage.

    Knowledge, Skills And Experience

    • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of experience in a production, packing, or logistics role- experience in poultry or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
    • Experience working with blue collar teams.
    • Strong understanding of product quality standards and food safety regulations.
    • Hands-on leadership skills with proven experience in supervising and motivating production teams.
    • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight production schedules.
    • Proficient in recordkeeping, reporting, and use of basic digital tools for tracking production data.
    • Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Effective communication and coordination skills across teams and departments.
