We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Operations Officer to oversee our logistics and transportation operations in Ibadan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of drivers and trucks, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods, and optimizing operational processes to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise a team of drivers and trucks
Coordinate and plan routes, schedules, and deliveries
Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
Monitor and optimize operational costs, including fuel, maintenance, and labor
Implement and enforce safety and security protocols
Manage and maintain a fleet of trucks and vehicles
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives
Analyze and report on operational performance metrics
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in logistics or transportation
Proven track record of success in managing teams and operations
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
Experience with fleet management software and technologies
Nice to Have:
Certification in logistics or supply chain management
