    Operations Manager

    JOB SUMMARY

    The operations manager will be responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of projects from start to finish. He must be well versed in construction methodologies and must have an analytical mind and great organizational skill as he will have the responsibility of coordinating various professionals from different disciplines to achieve the organizations goal.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
    • A verifiable experience as construction project manager
    • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
    • Understanding of quality and health and safety standards
    • A Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to use construction/ project management software
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
    • A team player with leadership abilities
    • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

    DUTIES

    • Plan and ensure that all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be adhered to.
    • Assist in obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
    • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
    • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
    • Determine needed resources from start to finish with adherence to budgetary limitations
    • Monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
    • Hire staff and allocate responsibilities
    • Supervise laborers, artisans etc. and give them guidance when needed
    • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
