Responsibilities

• Maintaining proper lubrication for the propulsion engine and other shipboard equipment
• Performing engine room watches and monitoring gauge readings
• Assisting superiors in starting and operating machinery
• Cleaning, lubricating and servicing machinery
• Conducting maintenance, repairs and overhauls of the engine-room machinery
• Work under the direction, guidance, and training of the Chief Engineer.
• Assist with vessel repairs and greasing equipment within the factory including pumps, motors, belts, and conveyors.
• Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc in a relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Oiler and Greaser in an Oil and Gas/ marine industry.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to adhere to them strictly.
• Familiarity with different types of machinery and equipment commonly found in the industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Certification or training in oiling and lubrication techniques and equipment maintenance is preferred.
