Nursing Officer at Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Clinic

Job Summary:

Lagos Cardiovascular Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Nursing Officer to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a specialized cardiovascular healthcare setting. The successful candidate will support patient assessment, treatment, and recovery while ensuring adherence to professional standards, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.
• Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, and overall clinical condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Assist physicians during clinical procedures, diagnostic tests, and cardiac interventions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, control measures, and patient safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation and critical care support as required.
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized nursing institution.
• Valid practicing license and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ clinical nursing experience, preferably in cardiology, ICU, or medical-surgical units.
• Sound knowledge of cardiovascular nursing care and clinical procedures.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
