ABOUT THE JOB
The finance coordinator will direct and coordinate all administrative, accounting and financial services associated with the mission.
As coordinator, he/she is responsible for guaranteeing the financial balance of the mission and for ensuring that all Solidarités International procedures, donor procedures and all laws of the country in which Solidarités International is intervening are respected.
He/she is the point of reference for the mission, and the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters relating to management, accounting and budget monitoring.
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
Monitor and support the decentralization process
Implement and strengthen control mechanisms
Strengthen budget management practices
Ensure good accounting practices and tax payments are done on a monthly basis
Monitor the financial visibility/management following the LINK implementation
YOUR PROFILE
Specific skills and experience:
Master Finance/Budget Management, Humanitarian Action, or other relevant education
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
Excellent Excel skills
Good knowledge of SAGA
Excellent budget management skills
Experience in capacity building is a plus
Good knowledge of donor guidelines and/or Nigerian tax system is a plus
People skills:
Capacity to prioritize and work under pressure
Stress management
Communication skills
Team work
Language:
English is mandatory
SI WILL OFFER YOU
A salaried position
According to experience, starting from EUR 2400 gross per month (+ 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly i.e. 2640 euros gross per month) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 600.
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months. For a one-year assignment, the expatriate will have a 7 working days break at 3, 6 and 9 months (with 850 USD allocated by SI - 1240 USD in case of international flight).
To these break periods, it is necessary to add the granting of one additional rest day per month worked, i.e. 12 days in addition for a one-year contract**.**
Social and health cover
Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
