    ND /Technical School Graduate (Mechanical)

    Job brief

    • We are seeking an EV Technician (Mechanical) who will support the mechanical inspection, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles. This role is designed for ND or technical school graduates with foundational mechanical or automotive skills who are eager to gain hands-on experience in electric vehicle systems and modern mobility technologies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in mechanical inspection, servicing, and maintenance of electric vehicles.
    • Support repairs and replacement of mechanical components such as suspension, brakes, steering, bearings, and cooling systems
    • Assist in installation and alignment of EV mechanical assemblies and sub-systems
    • Perform basic diagnostics on mechanical faults under supervision
    • Carry out routine checks on chassis, body, tyres, and undercarriage components
    • Support senior technicians during major repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and manufacturer instructions
    • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and maintenance logs
    • Keep workshop tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
    • Adhere strictly to HSE and workplace safety standards

    Educational Qualifications & Experience

    • ND or Technical School Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Mechatronics, or related discipline
    • Basic understanding of automotive mechanical systems

    Skills & Competencies

    • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
    • Ability to identify and use workshop tools and equipment
    • Understanding of vehicle suspension, braking, and steering systems
    • Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures
    • Willingness to learn EV-specific mechanical systems and technologies
    • Good teamwork and communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and work discipline

    • Number of assigned maintenance tasks completed accurately and on time
    • Compliance with safety procedures and zero avoidable safety incidents
    • Reduction in repeat faults after repairs or maintenance
    • Accuracy and timeliness of maintenance reports and job logs
    • Attendance, punctuality, and reliability
    • Improvement in technical skills through training and assessments
