    MUD QA / QC Service Personnel

    Job Description

    • Conduct routine inspections of drilling mud equipment and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Monitor drilling fluid properties, including density, rheology, and chemical composition, and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Perform laboratory tests on drilling mud samples to analyze properties and identify any deviations from specifications.
    • Collaborate with drilling engineers to recommend adjustments to drilling fluid formulations to meet specific well conditions.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to drilling fluid quality and equipment functionality.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures, documenting processes and maintaining accurate records.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines during drilling mud operations.
    • Provide training to rig crews on proper handling, mixing, and application of drilling mud.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on drilling fluid quality, trends, and improvement recommendations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling operations or a similar role, with a focus on drilling fluid quality control.
    • Strong understanding of drilling fluid chemistry, properties, and equipment.
    • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in drilling fluid quality and safety.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
    • Must have a valid International Well Control Forum (IWCF) certificate
    • Valid BOSIET/HUET certificate
    • Valid Offshore medical certificate confirming fitness to work offshore.
    • Must be able to present a competence profile showing relevant experience in deepwater offshore rig
    • Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting.
