We are looking for a highly competent, motivated, and results-driven Motion Graphics Designer to join our leadership team.
This is a senior role, and the candidate shall be responsible for preparing daily incident reports, interoffice memos and ensure that allegations of crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded and reported.
We are seeking a creative Motion Graphics Designer that can produce high-quality animations and video content for digital campaigns, social media, and broadcast.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with producers and marketing teams to translate complex ideas into visually engaging 2D or 3D graphics.

Duties and Responsibilities
Animation Production: Design and animate high-quality intros, lower thirds, transitions, and promotional content for TV and digital platforms.
Concept Development: Collaborate with creative team to storyboard and visualize sequences from initial scripts.
Video Integration: Edit raw footage and integrate motion elements, subtitles, and sound effects to enhance storytelling.
Asset Management: Maintain an organized library of graphic assets and follow brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
Platform Optimization: Render and optimize content for various formats, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Rapid Breaking News Support: Produce immediate on-screen maps, data visualizations, and “breaking news” breakers to support live coverage as stories develop.
Data Visualization: Translate complex Nigerian economic or political data into easy-to-understand animated infographics for diverse audiences.
Collaborative Storyboarding: Work directly with journalists and digital editors to storyboard complex investigations, ensuring the visual narrative aligns with the editorial facts.
Brand Stewardship: Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms, ensuring that the news brand remains recognizable regardless of the medium.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Education & Experience: A Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) and a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
Experience: 3–5 years in a media or production environment, with a portfolio showing both broadcast and social-first content.
Mastery of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Strong foundation in typography, color theory, layout, and the 12 principles of animation.
Experience with broadcast-specific tools like Vizrt or 3D software such as Cinema 4D
Understanding of different aspect ratios (16:9 for TV vs. 9:16 for mobile) and how to optimize renders for low-bandwidth digital consumption.
Ability to work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines typical of a 24-hour news
