Medical Officer at Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality medical care through diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, medical examinations, and appropriate clinical procedures.
• Prescribe medications and request appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
• Participate in ward rounds, emergency care, and on-call duties as required.
• Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient management.
• Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection prevention guidelines.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized university.
• Be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and hold a valid practicing license.
• Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or possess a certificate of exemption.
• Have relevant post-qualification clinical experience (an added advantage).
• Demonstrate good clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Possession of other relevant medical skills is an added advantage.
