We seek highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will assist in the performance of laboratory tests and procedures, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and ensure compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist to collect patient specimens according to established procedures, including venipuncture (drawing of blood) and urine sample collections
Assist the Medical Lab Scientist to prepare specimens for analysis using appropriate techniques in the departmental standard operating procedures.
Regularly conduct quality control checks on instruments and reagents to ensure accuracy of results.
Accurately interpret, record and report test results to the Physician promptly.
Adherence to all laboratory safety protocols, infection control guidelines as well as regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials by maintaining a clean and organized work area
Assist in departmental stock taking
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
Diploma Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from accredited institutions.
Additional qualifications will be an added advantage
Must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria
