Medical Laboratory Scientist at Bridges Diagnostics

Job Summary:

• The Laboratory Scientist is to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality in laboratory services while collaborating with doctors and other medical staff for effective patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out advanced diagnostic tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other patient samples.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and assign daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with MLSCN, NCDC, and hospital safety regulations.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Document and verify laboratory results before release.
• Support physicians in interpreting diagnostic results.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance/control procedures.
• Train junior staff and support continuous improvement of lab processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BMLS with valid MLSCN practicing license is required
• Minimum of 2–3 years of post-NYSC experience.
• Experience with modern diagnostic tools and laboratory equipment is a plus
• Strong analytical and supervisory skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to laboratory best practices.
• Previous experience in a diagnostic laboratory is an added advantage.
