The Medical Doctor role at Medicaid Radio-diagnostics & Clinics is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja. The Medical Doctor will conduct comprehensive patient consultations, perform physical examinations, request and interpret diagnostic investigations, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Responsibilities include collaborating with radiologists and other clinicians, reviewing imaging and laboratory reports, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation in patient records. The Medical Doctor will provide counseling and education to patients and families, support preventive care initiatives, and participate in clinical meetings and case reviews. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, following clinical guidelines, and contributing to quality improvement efforts aligned with the organization’s SCRIPT values.
Qualifications
Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution and current license to practice medicine in Nigeria.
Proven clinical skills in history-taking, physical examination, differential diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
Experience in interpreting diagnostic tests (laboratory results, imaging reports) and collaborating with radiology and diagnostic teams.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, and safe prescribing practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling, multidisciplinary teamwork, and clear documentation.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, integrity, professionalism, and client-centered care in line with SCRIPT values.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage time well, and maintain attention to detail.
Prior work experience in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic center is an advantage; familiarity with electronic medical records is beneficial.
