To be responsible for all Mechanical equipment and systems in the Power Plant.
Provide the necessary routine maintenance and ensure 100% availability of the plant systems
Main Responsibilities:
Carry out technical resolution of mechanical related issues highlighted as part of analysis from the planning and efficiency team
Ensure high availability of all Mechanical equipment and systems in the power plant
Minimize cost of maintenance of the plant and optimize equipment lifecycle cost
Supervision of maintenance measures in Mechanical maintenance unit and ensuring quality of maintenance
Respond to any mechanical equipment malfunction or breakdown
Ensure proper record of faults and repairs on plant mechanical systems
Conduct routine inventory of spares to ensure availability
Minimize response time to the Operations unit for handling routine day-to-day problems
Optimize Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
Plan resource requirements for Mechanical maintenance–manpower, materials, and contracts
Technical knowledge of all Mechanical systems
Understanding of the working of equipment and history of equipment
Knowledge of standard operating procedures concerning the maintenance of Mechanical system
Good knowledge of troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance of rotating equipment, valves, heat exchangers, compressors, and other plant mechanical systems
Technical troubleshooting and ability to identify the root cause of problems to avoid recurrence
Knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects of power generation
Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory management
Knowledge of statutory guidelines related to Mechanical equipment Knowledge of Engineering,
Skilled in maintenance planning, scheduling, and technical reporting
Ability to carry out preventive and proactive interventions of plant Mechanical systems using OEM design schematics with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Diesel Engine, pumps, and valve maintenance
Perform all such other routine maintenance task that may from time to time be required as approved by the Team lead.
Qaulifications:
First degree in Mechanical Engineering, HND could be considered.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Power Industry
Member of COREN, Post Graduate degree, and other certifications are added advantages.
Experience in a Power plant of minimum 20MW capacity
Experience in any other oil and gas process or production facility
