As a Mechanical Inspector Engineer at Dangote Cement PLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mechanical equipment and systems. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, tests, and audits of mechanical components and installations to guarantee compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct first level plant inspection using the four senses of smell, hear, touch and sight.
Vibration, Shock Pulse and temperature data collection and trending to monitor equipment health.
Carry out oil analysis of critical equipment and generate report of findings and recommendations.
Raise appropriate maintenance notification in SAP on any abnormality seen during condition monitoring and inspection.
Update equipment vibration data history on SAP.
Carryout wear measurements to predict life expectancy for equipment major wear parts.
Carryout in-situ dynamic balancing of rotary equipment as might be required.
Make downtime entries on ADAP.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection within the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment inspection, and testing methodologies.
Excellent observational and analytical skills.
Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and quality assurance practices.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
