    Mechanical Engineer (Shift Operations)

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to manage mechanical and utility operations during assigned shifts at our Film manufacturing plant in Ibadan.
    • The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems and utilities within a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably in film production.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage end-to-end mechanical and utility operations during assigned shifts.
    • Ensure uninterrupted operation and maintenance of Blown Film, Printing, Slitting, and utility-related mechanical systems.
    • Oversee building maintenance, utilities, and safety equipment.
    • Maintain mechanical equipment for blown film lines, extrusion systems, winding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
    • Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
    • Participate in energy optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Collaborate with team members to enhance technical competence and productivity.
    • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Educational Qualification

    • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

    Experience Requirement:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial mechanical engineering role.
    • Experience in a film manufacturing plant or continuous process industry is an added advantage.
    • Technical Competencies
    • Hands-on experience with mechanical and utility systems.
    • Familiarity with film-specific machinery, automation, and production processes.
    • Understanding of energy management, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices.
    • Ability to work effectively in shift-based operations.
