Mechanical Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding) at Ascentech Services Limited

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots mechanical issues.
• Responsible for production, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Conducts general mechanical maintenance.
• Develop and install all new injection molding equipment and document all implementation processes for all molded products.
• Prepare all specifications of all plastic processes and execute all gages to maintain optimal quality and assist to design all control plans.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, technical diagrams and labels system components.
• Manage plastic injection and blowing molding tool design, fabrication, process parameter development and validation during process development and qualification.
• Drive analytical modelling and analysis of plastic Injection and blowing molding tooling concepts and design. Identify potential new tooling concepts and processes.
• Apply knowledge of plastics and material science to support the development of critical components from resin to finished product
• Hands on material analysis, prototype development and testing
• Develop and optimize secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, laser welding, surface enhancements,
• Installation and startup of development or production equipment
• Standard PPE will be provided
• Engineering Designs and Analysis with an emphasis in structural foam plastic injection molded parts, processes, and tooling
• Calibrate instruments to adapt to the specific needs of a client or job
• Works standard computations relating to mechanical load requirements of wiring

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of HND/BSC in Mechanical Engineering or other related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in plastic Blow/Injection Molding Machine.
• Knowledge of scientific decoupled molding, material trials and high precision metrology.
• Proficient with the use of Design for Manufacturing, SPC, DOE and Six Sigma techniques.
• Expertise in using simulation tools such as Auto Desk Moldflow, Moldx3D Expert is an added advantage
• Ability to create, revise drawings and apply GD&T.
• Highly observant, analytical and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills.
