Job Description

• We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s team.
• This role will challenge you to design and deliver advanced plumbing, fire protection, vertical transportation, and HVAC systems for a variety of cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities

• You will craft detailed plumbing designs for foul drainage systems, domestic water services, rainwater disposal, and specialized systems like swimming pools, irrigation, and diesel oil piping.
• You will design fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, gas suppression, foam suppression, and deluge/pre-action systems.
• You will develop efficient vertical transportation systems, including passenger lifts, dumbwaiters, and cleaning cradles.
• You will prepare comprehensive bills of quantities and specifications for plumbing, fire protection, and vertical transportation systems.
• You will lead HVAC design initiatives, including VRF systems and cooling load calculations using HAP 4.9.
• You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of systems into overall project designs.
• As the Mechanical Design Engineer, your designs will form the backbone of critical building systems, ensuring safety, functionality, and comfort. Your skill will directly impact project success and create an environment that is efficient, reliable, and sustainable.
• Balancing innovative designs with compliance to codes and regulations while working on different and complex projects. Adapting to tight deadlines and evolving client requirements will keep you engaged and motivated.

Requirements

• A B.Eng. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in an MEP Engineering consulting firm.
• Proficiency in REVIT and AUTOCAD MEP software.
• Registration with COREN or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on precision and efficiency in designs.
