Manager – Public Sector at Portrec Resourcing

Key Responsibilities:

Public Sector Engagement & Partnerships

• Build and manage high-level relationships with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Represent the fintech at regulatory roundtables, committee meetings, and public forums.
• Drive acquisition of government clients for digital payment, e-ID integration, and payroll solutions.

Business Development & Strategic Alignment

• Lead RFP responses, tender submissions, and proposal writing for government-led projects.
• Align product offerings with public sector needs—subsidy disbursement, tax collection, grants, etc.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to develop compliant, localized solutions.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure strict adherence to procurement laws and ethical standards.
• Draft MOUs and partnership agreements in collaboration with legal and risk teams.
• Advocacy & Thought Leadership
• Lead public sector visibility campaigns, whitepapers, and fintech-for-government initiatives.
• Drive innovation in areas like education digitization, ID-linked wallets, healthcare payments.

• Value of transactions/contracts secured through government channels
• Government client satisfaction and retention
• Advocacy initiatives and thought leadership visibility

Who You Are:

• Experience working in medium to large organizations with public-facing responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s public sector budgeting and procurement processes.
• Skilled in proposal writing, contract structuring, and strategic networking.
• Familiarity with digital financial services, ID infrastructure, and regulatory trends.
• Excellent communicator with public speaking and stakeholder management ability.
