    Manager Ground Handling, Cargo & Sales

    Role Summary

    • Ensure safe and secure ground service operations at the Lagos airport in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and NCAA.
    • Plan and optimize the required resource and provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to the Company’s operations at LOS and Ground Operations service providers at all outstations in compliance with contracted service level agreements, and providing leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department

    Primary Responsibilities

    Sales & Marketing

    • Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential. Provide timely market intelligence and customer feedback with recommendations.
    • Establish performance goals for all department employees and monitors performance continually.
    • Oversee all hiring and training of Sales and marketing personnel.
    • Develop, maintain and improve business relations with all customers of the Company.
    • Identify new sales channels and interline partnerships.
    • Develop relationships with corporate clients and trade partners to maximize market share growth.
    • Monitor actual route performance against the budget to ensure higher yields.Ground and Cargo Handling
    • Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure conformity with all regulatory requirements, Company policies and local procedures.
    • Establish and maintain customer airline interface.
    • Document and monitor compliance with standards.
    • Participate in Airline Operators Committee activities.
    • With Manager Quality and Safety, support the development and implementation of the Emergency Accident Procedures Plan.

    Qualifications and Certifications

    • University Degree (Degrees in Commerce, Business Administration or relevant discipline preferred).
    • At least 5 years of managerial experience in a reputable airline.
    • Excellent management and communication skills.
    • Strategic aptitude and ability to plan and implement the strategy for business enhancement.
    • Knowledge of the aviation industry.
    • Financial awareness.
    • Ability to provide visionary leadership to, and motivation for, multi–disciplinary teams.
    • Customer service experience.
    • Strong business management and revenue maximization skills.
    • Impeccable integrity and diligence.Competencies

    • Analytical/objective.
    • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
