    Maintenance Supervisor - Generator Assembling

    • The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance operations of machinery, equipment, and facilities in a generator production company. This role ensures minimal downtime, optimal equipment performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians, schedules repairs, and implements preventive maintenance programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Maintenance Management:

    • Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities for production machinery, tools, and facilities.
    • Ensure all equipment (CNC machines, welding systems, assembly lines, etc.) operates efficiently.
    • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

    Troubleshooting & Repairs:

    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in generator production equipment.
    • Coordinate with engineers and vendors for complex repairs or part replacements.

    Safety & Compliance:

    • Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

    Inventory & Budget Control:

    • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
    • Control maintenance costs and optimize resource usage.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
    • Support lean manufacturing and automation initiatives.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records.
    • Report on downtime, repair status, and key performance metrics.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education & Experience:

    • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
    • 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (generator, engine, or heavy machinery preferred).
    • 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Certifications in HVAC, PLC, welding, or industrial maintenance (a plus).

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • Experience with CNC machines, welding equipment, and assembly lines.
    • Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
    • Understanding of lean manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
