Maintenance Machinist at GZ Industries

• To carry out machining, grinding and rebuilding of machine parts and components.
• Repair plant machinery and parts and ensure they are in good working condition through proper maintenance and lubrication

Roles & Responsibilities

• Fabricates any replacement parts and new parts not available in the Engineering Stores
• Rebuilds mechanical assemblies used in the production process
• Carries out machining, grinding and rebuilding of machine components such as
• Applicator Roller, Electric Motor Cover, Vacuum Blower, Gear Box, etc.
• Identifies equipment/machinery parts that require replacement.
• Carries our replacement Of those parts
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and carries out corrective maintenance of facility equipment and machinery including production, support, utility, auxiliary and ancillary machinery
• Carries out preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery as per established standards and programmes
• Installs tests and adjusts mechanical equipment, machinery and components. Detect faulty/defective operations and report to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Ensures the regular lubrication of facility machinery and equipment
• Carries out all tasks and activities in compliance with all the applicable Health, Safety and
• Environmental regulations
• Adheres strictly to HSE regulations by ensuring PPE and safety tools provided are used at all times

Required Education/ Qualification

• Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate
• Should possess Vocational Certifications such as Trade Test Certificate, NABTEB, etc.
• Minimum Of 5 years work experience performing a similar role within the manufacturing industry Demonstrable experience in carrying Out mechanical maintenance
• Experience with basic machining functions such as turning, thread cutting, boring, grinding, milling, cutting, sanding, etc.
