Maintenance Assistant at Mama Cass

Overview

• In this role, the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with overseeing the maintenance, safety, and readiness of facilities across all locations.
• You will ensure that equipment, tools, and physical infrastructure are functional, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards to support seamless daily and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily upkeep of buildings, service areas, and storage spaces across branches.
• Monitor the functionality and condition of tools, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Schedule and follow up on maintenance and repair work.
• Liaise with service vendors for cleaning, repairs, fumigation, and utilities.
• Assist with managing facility-related supplies, materials, and budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure facility integrity and identify issues.
• Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, incidents, and asset movement.
• Ensure all premises comply with health, safety, and operational standards.
• Coordinate logistics for setup and teardown of physical assets as required.
• Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or HND in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in facility or safety management is an added advantage.
• 2–3 years’ experience in facility or maintenance roles.
• Experience in an event-related or hospitality environment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
• Good planning and problem-solving skills
• Strong recordkeeping and reporting abilities
• Ability to coordinate vendors and service providers
