Machine Operator – Seasoning Cube (Pressing/Wrapping Machine) at Ascentech Services Limited

Salary Range: ₦120,000 – ₦150,000

Job Summary

The Machine Operator will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the seasoning cube pressing/wrapping machine. This includes machine setup, monitoring performance, adjusting settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintenance of a clean, organized production environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the seasoning cube manufacturing machine for operation by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and product quality.
• Adjust machine settings/parameters to optimize production and minimize defects.
• Conduct routine quality checks to ensure cubes meet specifications and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions to reduce downtime.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, part replacement).
• Maintain proper documentation of production activities, including outputs, machine settings, and quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and team members to resolve production challenges.
• Suggest and support process improvement initiatives for higher efficiency.
• Follow cleaning procedures to maintain hygiene in the production area.
• Adhere to GMP standards at all times.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achievement of targeted production output.
• Reduction in percentage of defective cubes.
• Minimization of material wastage during wrapping.
• Consistent machine uptime and performance.

Work Experience

• Prior experience operating machines in a food manufacturing plant.
• Hands-on experience with seasoning cube production machinery is an added advantage.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills for machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with food industry standards and quality control processes.

Qualifications

• Technical Training Institute Certification (or equivalent in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Technology).
• Additional training in machine operation or maintenance will be an advantage.
