Luxury Assets Appraisal & Valuation Officer (Watches & Accessories) at Pawnshop by Bluradish

Role Summary

• As we continue to scale and build trust within the luxury ecosystem, we are looking to expand our expert team with a Luxury Assets Appraisal & Valuation Officer who will help us assess and value top-tier luxury watches and accessories with precision, professionalism, and integrity.
• The Luxury Assets Appraisal & Valuation Officer will be responsible for the inspection, authentication, valuation, and documentation of luxury watches and designer accessories such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and other top-tier brands.
• This role requires a deep understanding of the luxury goods market, strong attention to detail, and the ability to determine fair market value based on condition, provenance, model, rarity, and current trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed physical inspections of luxury timepieces and accessories to assess authenticity, condition, and quality.
• Accurately appraise and determine current market/resale value based on brand, model, year, features, and market demand.
• Use industry tools, software, reference guides, and marketplaces to support fair and accurate valuations.
• Document findings and create professional appraisal reports for internal records, clients, and insurance or loan purposes.
• Authenticate serial numbers, logos, movement, hallmarks, and craftsmanship using proper evaluation techniques.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, price fluctuations, collector demand, and counterfeit identification methods.
• Support sales with pricing intelligence for luxury pawn, resale, or procurement transactions.
• Liaise with third-party authenticators and service providers when necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards in handling client-owned luxury goods.
• Assist in inventory management and documentation of incoming and outgoing luxury assets.
• Educate clients, where applicable, on the value and market relevance of their luxury goods.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in appraisal, valuation, or authentication of luxury watches and/or designer accessories.
• Deep knowledge of luxury brands including but not limited to Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Richard Mille, Chanel, etc.
• Familiarity with reference numbers, limited editions, mechanical movements, resale value trends, and condition grading.
• Demonstrated experience in detecting replicas and counterfeits with strong analytical and visual inspection skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in creating clear, concise valuation reports.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-value goods with care and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in digital tools for record keeping and valuation comparison.
• High ethical standards, discretion, and professionalism in client interaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a pawnshop, luxury boutique, auction house, or high-end resale marketplace.
• A collector’s or enthusiast’s knowledge of horology and designer fashion.
• Exposure to luxury CRM systems or asset management software.
