    Logistics and Transport Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Arrange efficient delivery routes and dispatch drivers.
    • Track vehicle locations to monitor drivers and find efficient routes.
    • Act as the first port of call for drivers
    • Help load and unload goods from distribution trucks/vehicles.
    • Audit goods for inconsistencies or defects
    • Safely store goods by following proper storage procedures by Warehouse
    • Collaborate with senior employees, such as transportation managers, to find ways to make the transportation process more efficient.
    • Oversee port clearance, such as load needs, loading/offloading capabilities, and shipping configurations.
    • Create and maintain transportation paperwork, such as driver vehicle inspection reporting (DVIR), trip reports, driver logs, and fuel request, invoices, receipts, vehicle maintenance reports….
    • Report and maintain key performance indicators regarding mileages, fuel tax reporting, shipment details, stock levels, on-time delivery, and defects.
    • Maintain and respond to complaints or feedback from staff and drivers, directing them to suitable parties if necessary.
    • Review driver time sheets for payroll
    • Document driver concerns and driver policy violations
    • Manage and co-ordinate logistics including arranging transport, storage, delivery and arrange administration between suppliers and clients.
    • Produce logistics schedules and reports and communicate updates and any concerns to relevant parties.
    • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
    • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product and personnel transit or delivery.
    • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or staff and client issues, vehicle maintenance and refer to manager when required.
    • Adhere to any health, safety and environmental and Company policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing of self, other staff and visitors.

    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Commercial, financial and customer focus with a full understanding of how failure impacts costs, customer satisfaction and business reputation
    • Analytical with problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Good planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities.

    • Excellent attention to detail skills
