    Local Government Area (LGA) Facilitator - Kano

    Primary Duties And Responsibilities
    The LGA Facilitators will.

    • Coordinate all LGA level program implementation including advocacy to stakeholders, capacity transfer, monitoring, and supervision of all Lafiya supported activities.
    • Participate & transfer technical assistance to LGA Annual Operational Plan (AOP) development, review and tracking in assigned LGAs.
    • Provide technical assistance to LGA level coordination committees that includes LGA PHC Advisory, RMNCAEH+N, LGA LMCU and Emergency Preparedness & Response Committees
    • Support HRH registry updates and HRH management plans to guide evidence-based decision making
    • Provide technical assistance to roll-out and implementation of Community Based Health Workers (CBHW) in assigned LGAs.
    • Provide technical mentorship to Ward Development Communities to strengthen their capacity to deliver roles and responsibilities.
    • Work closely with assigned LGAs PHC department mentors to provide technical assistance to health facility quality improvement teams to develop and implement their annual quality improvement plans and quarterly business plans and follow through to ensure timely Direct Facility Financing (DFF) retirement.
    • Provide technical assistance to assigned LGAs to track Quarterly RMNCAEH+N score card to guide evidence-based actions.
    • Provide technical assistance in the operationalization of Ethical Health Financing across communities of assigned LGAs
    • Support LGA level activities including eDQA and Monthly data validation meetings to improve data quality.
    • Collate and verify workshop/meeting means of verification and payment schedule.
    • Provide technical assistance for improved documentation at the LGA PHC department.
    • Document success stories to share learnings
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the State Team Lead.

    Required Qualifications

    • A first degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development, or a relevant field.
    • Progressive years of relevant post-graduation experience.
    • Work-related experience in a health or public health organization.
    • Previous experience working with FCDO-funded programmes is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
    • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Training and supervision skills are required.
    • Fluency in the local language is required.
    • Experience using electronic data monitoring systems is an added advantage.
    • Experience supporting LGA PHC Departments and community structures is an added advantage.
