Lead, Mechanical & Piping Engineer at Seflam SGL Ltd

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and ensure the selection of appropriate construction materials during the design phase.
• Lead and manage the company’s piping team, supervising the designs developed by junior engineers and subcontractors.
• Review project scope to ensure designs remain fit-for-purpose without excessive technical specifications.
• Approve and sign off on subcontractor designs, ensuring they meet project and industry standards.
• Oversee fabrication activities at the yard to ensure compliance with approved engineering designs.
• Provide engineering support during installation, ensuring strict adherence to AFC (Approved for Construction) drawings.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to achieve seamless project execution. Taking responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10years of experience in mechanical/piping engineering within large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing subcontractor activities.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, designs, and drawings for mechanical and piping systems.
