Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with the PMs on client communication, addressing their concerns, presenting design proposals, and incorporating feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architectural design, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as engineers, contractors, and consultants to integrate architectural designs seamlessly with other project components.
Construction: Experience working with grade A contractors on complex construction projects.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements throughout the design and construction phases.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and cost overruns.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, contributing to the refinement of architectural processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Professional licensure as an architect (ARCON certification) is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a focus on commercial/residential/industrial projects, with a minimum project value at N750million.
Proficiency in industry-standard architectural software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
