Laundry Attendant at Dunn & Braxton

Job Summary:

• The company is seeking to hire an experienced Laundry Attendant who will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, guest laundry, and staff uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest standard.
• The successful candidate will support the overall housekeeping operations by providing clean and well-presented laundry items that enhance guest comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established standards.
• Operate all laundry equipment safely and efficiently (washing machines, dryers, steam irons, etc.).
• Inspect laundered items to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards before returning them for use.
• Handle guest laundry requests promptly, ensuring proper labeling, tracking, and timely delivery.
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of detergents, cleaning agents, and laundry materials.
• Report any damaged or missing laundry items to the supervisor immediately.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting of laundry machines when required and report major faults.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and cleaning stained or delicate fabrics.
• Adhere to hotel policies on uniform standards, hygiene, and workplace safety

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a laundry attendant in a hotel or commercial laundry environment.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, and cleaning chemicals.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand or move for a long period.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
