Language Translator (Hausa, Fulfulde & Northern Nigerian Languages) at GN128 Solutions

• We are currently looking for experienced translators to help translate content from English into Hausa, Fulfulde, and other Northern Nigerian languages for digital platforms, educational content, public awareness campaigns, and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Translate written content from English into Hausa, Fulfulde, and/or other Northern Nigerian languages.
• Ensure translations are culturally appropriate and easy for native speakers to understand.
• Review and proofread translated content for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with translating website content, mobile applications & public information content.
• Where required, provide voice recordings or audio translations.
• Work closely with our team to maintain translation quality and terminology standards.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and at least one of the following:
  • Hausa
  • Fulfulde
  • Kanuri
  • Nupe
  • Tiv
  • Gbagyi
  • Other Northern Nigerian languages
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to accurately translate meaning, context, and intent rather than word-for-word translations.
• Previous translation experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience translating educational, government, technology, healthcare, community development, or public awareness content.
• Experience with transcription, subtitling, or voice-over work.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and online collaboration platforms.
