    Key Account Manager

    Job Function:

    • To ensure all activities regarding the management of designated key accounts are executed and that the assigned key account portfolio grows as per the annual incentive scheme.

    Key performance areas:

    Customer relationship management

    • Manage customer relationships and expectations effectively and pro-actively across all levels of the customer’s business units, in line with:
    • Manage the agreed Commercial contract
    • Total ISL service offering.
    • SLA/SOP and customer KPIs are in place and presented quarterly
    • Update respective system’s on a monthly basis

    New business development:

    Lead generation

    • Identify new opportunities within the customer’s organisation to expand service offering.
    • Identify new business within target segments as identified by the BDE.

    Data analysis:

    • Analyse and report the customer’s business on the BI Toolkit on a monthly basis to understand emerging trends within their business and industry.
    • Ensuring timeous communication to BDE, informing of any potential changes within the customer’s business, industry and potential risk to ICF.
    • Customer engagement

    Sales Calls:

    • 8 customer engagement per week
    • Monthly check in with the Commercial Team regarding customer engagements

    Database Quality:

    • Establishing appropriate relationships & communication with the relevant functional area’s both internal and external to enhance customer satisfaction & ensure customer retention.
    • All client records should always be maintained with updated:
    • Accurate customer details pertaining to:
    • Customer contact details
    • Contact name, email, current telephone number and job title
    • Opportunity naming conventions including correct verticals, sub verticals and revenue products.
    • Accurate Estimated closing dates
    • Accurate Client Revenue projections

    Qualifications required:

    • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Marketing Management.

    Skills and experience required:

    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong Networker
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in International Freight Management
    • Good understanding of Import/Export procedures and Incoterms
    • Good client relationship management, communication, and presentation skills
    • Valid driver’s License and own vehicle
    • Ability to present the company services and group in a professional manner
    • Willingness to acquire new skills and gain knowledge
    • Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines and be a self-starter
    • Ability to work independently and be a team player simultaneously
    • Must take ownership of the position, be dedicated and innovative
    • Geographical and geopolitical knowledge, ability to interface and communicate with different cultures is essential
    • Excellent Communication and presentation skills
