Junior Contract Specialist at Vantegral Consulting

Summary:

This position has the responsibility for full lifecycle contract management of an assigned portfolio of subcontracts, including requisition, planning, tendering, contract administration, and contract close-out.

Responsibilities:

• Receives and reviews requisitions ensuring all required information have been provided to enable successful procurement of works and services
• Develops and gets approval of contracting strategy for each procurement
• Takes the lead in preparing new contracts from the issue of inquiry documents to the approval of award including evaluation of bids and negotiations with bidders
• Performs all contract administration duties including invoice verification; reporting on performance and schedule; variations and claims; and compliance with terms and conditions.
• Ensures close out of contracts are managed in accordance with the relevant Company procedures.
• Carry out any other duty that may be assigned by the Management.

Academic Qualification:

• Degree in engineering or related technical field, management sciences, economics, or physical sciences.

Professional Qualification:

• Preference is for candidates with relevant training and certifications in contract management, project management, cost engineering, and commercial management.

Experience:

• Minimum 5years of cognate contract & commercial management experience gained from oil & gas, engineering & construction, and energy industries.

Dimension:

• This position is responsible for supporting the AKK Project Subcontracts Manager in ensuring that requisitions are rapidly turned to contracts and is expected to manage multiple contracts through to closeout or renewal simultaneously, anticipating varying degrees of complexity and value.
