Job Scope

• Oversee all technology operations and evaluate according to established goals.
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies.
• Manages all IT projects, ensuring they are delivered to required standards and on time in order to provide high quality IT systems and services.
• Liaise with senior management concerning the timely delivery of projects and ensuring the accurate returns and reports on project progress are delivered.
• Identifying the need for upgrade, configurations or new systems and opportunities for improvement.
•  Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
• Maintains and develop ERP software.
• Analyse the business requirement of all departments to determine their business and technological needs and optimize the use of information technology.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems. Maintaining highest standard of security and data protection, keeping up to date with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Manages IT budget, to produce budgetary proposal as part of the annual planning round and to report on expenditure periodically through annual monitoring reports.
• Ensure the IT department maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in the required format so that it can be readily used to support day-to-day operations, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Audit systems and assess their outcome.

• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security network, and system administration, database, and data storage system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Computer Engineering and System Engineering.
• A professional qualification in IT would be an added advantage.
• 3-5 years in a similar role with a proven track record.
