Internal Control Officer / Manager at Linkup Human Capital

 About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Internal Control Officer (or Manager, depending on level of experience) to ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards across our organization. You will play a vital role in identifying process gaps, preventing fraud, and safeguarding operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate internal control systems across operational areas
• Identify control gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct periodic reviews of branches, departments, and key business units
• Ensure strict compliance in loan disbursement & public sector lending processes
• Support fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts
• Collaborate with audit, compliance, and risk teams to strengthen governance
• Prepare and present internal control reports with actionable insights

Who We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience in internal control, risk, or audit roles in a Microfinance Bank or financial institution
• Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, public sector lending, and regulatory compliance
• Solid grasp of internal control frameworks & risk mitigation practices
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and reporting skills
• bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CISA (added advantage)

Preferred Background

• Prior experience in Key Microfinance Bank or other reputable MFIs
• Familiarity with internal control automation tools or risk software
