Interior Architect at Deise Smith Studio

Job Summary 

We are seeking to hire highly skilled and self-driven Interior Architect(s) with strong Project Management capabilities to join our team. The role might include travel for site visits when required. The ideal candidate is responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will oversee design development, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

 Key Responsibilities Interior Architecture & Design

● Develop concept designs, space plans, and mood boards.

 ● Prepare detailed drawings (plans, elevations, sections, joinery details). 

● Produce 3D visualizations and presentation materials. 

● Select materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture aligned with project goals.

 ● Ensure all designs meet project requirements, budgets, and timelines. Project Management 

● Lead project coordination from design to execution.

 ● Create project schedules, track progress, and flag risks early. 

● Handle contractor supervision remotely and during site visits. 

● Review shop drawings, samples, and site work for compliance.

 ● Manage communication between clients, vendors, and contractors. 

● Ensure quality control and adherence to design intent throughout execution. Remote Work & Accountability

 ● Work efficiently without close supervision.

 ● Provide timely updates, documentation, and reports. 

● Attend virtual meetings, presentations, and design reviews. 

● Maintain strong communication with the Lagos HQ team. 

● Uphold professionalism and ownership of assigned tasks. 

Requirements 

● Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or Interior Design.

 ● 2–5+ years of proven experience in interior architecture and project management. 

● Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (optional), and rendering tools. 

● Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction details.

 ● Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

 ● Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

● Must be based in Lagos with the ability to visit sites when required. 

●Reliable internet connection and remote-work discipline. 

● High sense of responsibility, ownership, and integrity. 

Preferred Skills 

● Experience working with premium residential or commercial projects. 

● Familiarity with project budgeting and procurement. 

● Knowledge of Nigerian construction standards and vendors.

 ● Creative thinker with strong aesthetic and technical judgment.
