    Intake Nurse

    Job Summary:

    • BCHOC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Nurse to manage the initial patient interaction at our facility. The Intake Nurse will be responsible for registering patients, taking vital signs, collecting payments, and directing patients through the clinical workflow. This role requires a confident and well-spoken individual fluent in both Hausa and English, who is also patient, empathetic, and committed to excellent communication and customer care

    .Key Responsibilities:

    • Welcome and receive patients in a professional, courteous manner.
    • Perform vital sign assessments (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, weight, etc.).
    • Register patients using hospital documentation systems or EMR software.
    • Generate initial service bills and collect payments using POS/cash system.
    • Guide patients to the appropriate clinical units based on their needs and billing compliance.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Ensure a smooth and efficient intake process with minimal waiting times.
    • Adhere to all hospital protocols, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Carry out any additional responsibilities or instructions as assigned by the line manager or senior nurse.
    • Support quality assurance efforts and help identify process improvements.
    • Protect patient confidentiality at all times.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc) from an accredited institution.
    • Valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
    • Fluent in English and Hausa (mandatory).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy or stressful environment.
    • Must be confident, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Willingness to live in or relocate to the vicinity of Kabusa, Abuja FCT.\
    • Entry-level to 3+ years experience Preferred Personal Attributes:
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
    • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
    • Willingness to learn and grow with the organization.
