Industrial Designer at AshLuxury

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine requirements for designs
• Design various industrial products though proper sketching to provide mechanical solutions for processess
• Examine materials and manufacturing guidelines to determine production costs
• Present designs and demonstrate prototypes for clients
• Work with other specialists to evaluate the accuracy of design concepts
• Draft ideas to get a better visual of design components
• Manages all aspects of the design process, from research and ideation, to creative conceptualisation and design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to research and develop cohesive design plans, concepts and prototypes.
• Select appropriate materials for all products and assist to select colour and finish for products and collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure compatibility of all design for production
• Work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure final design output meets the needs of the organisation or customers.
• Analyse research findings to inform design directions.
• Evaluate new design ideas or concepts
• Initiate research activities based on project requirements
• Plan objectives and agendas for design workshops
• Present design recommendations, proposals and options to stakeholders
• Provide feedback to direct reports and junior team members.
• Provide on-the-job training to direct reports and junior team members
• Review research reports before circulation to stakeholders
• Troubleshoot issues during project implementation.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• An analytical thinker who is energized by solving problems through design
• Baccalaureate degree in industrial design
• Robust CAD skills
• Ability to lead project teams towards successful adoption of new design ideas.
• 5 years’ experience in industrial technology and design
• Knowledge of design techniques and tools involved in the production of technical plans, drawings and models
• Familiar with machines and tools and their maintenance
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Has a strong mastery of design fundamentals and is able to generate creative work that meets the requirements of stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deliver on expectations within tight deadlines.
• Specialise as an Architect, Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer, Interior Designer, Fashion Designer, Product Designer, Furniture Designer, Graphic Designer or Interaction Designer.

Preferred

• CAID design and 3D printing experience
• Knowledge of engineering for mobile electronic devices
