ICT Teacher at Distinct Star Schools

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver effective ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum and examination board standards.
• External Exam Preparation: Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations (e.g., WAEC, NECO, IGCSE) by covering prescribed syllabuses, administering practice tests, and offering targeted revision sessions.
• Hands-On Instruction: Teach practical ICT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, basic programming, and internet research.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and grade assignments, projects, and mock exams to track student performance and readiness for external assessments.
• Digital Literacy & Ethics: Promote safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology, including awareness of cyber safety, digital citizenship, and data privacy.
• Resource Development: Create and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and digital resources to support varied learning needs.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and technology-rich learning environment.
• Technology Integration: Use educational technology tools and platforms to enhance teaching, learning, and communication.
• Professional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, school leadership, and parents to support student learning outcomes and ICT curriculum goals.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and examination readiness.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3 - 7 years experience.
