Hygiene Manager - Golden Penny Foods at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• The Hygiene Manager will lead and drive hygiene excellence across the flour milling operation by developing, implementing, and monitoring effective sanitation and pest management programs. 
• The role will ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards while safeguarding product integrity, consumer health, and operational efficiency.

The Job

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-wide hygiene and housekeeping programs in line with food safety standards.
• Manage and continuously improve the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and fumigation programmes across the site.
• Oversee product returns management, ensuring proper documentation, segregation, disposal, and implementation of preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, quality, and food safety requirements through audits and corrective action implementation.
• Drive a strong hygiene culture through employee awareness, training, coaching, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• HND/B.Sc. in Food Science or a related discipline.
• Professional hygiene certification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Certifications in Quality Management, Food Safety Management Systems.

The Person Must:

• Possess strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene management systems.
• Demonstrate practical experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and sanitation operations.
• Have excellent leadership, supervisory, and stakeholder management skills.
• Be highly analytical with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
