Give regular daily context update to the HAS Manager before commencement of field travels by staff.
Ensure that access control procedures to the Abuja Country office/Guest House are adequately enforced by the security guards.
Liaise with different stakeholders and support the HAS Manager in organizing HEIST Trainings and meetings when required.
Work with Logistic Team in the Country Office to conduct a safety assessment of vehicles rented for use by NRC in the Country Office. This will include regular briefing and vetting of rented drivers to ensure they meet the NRC standards.
Ensure that all communication equipment (Satellite phones, GPS trackers, CCTVs) is in good working condition and available for use by staff in the Country Office.
Ensure that all staff traveling to the program location by road carry functional communication equipment and tracking devices.
Daily conduct staff headcount and report to HAS Manager.
Regularly check the functionality of fire extinguishers, exit gates, smoke detectors, fire alarms, CCTVs, and other installations within the Abuja Country Office. Any faults should be immediately reported to the HAS Manager.
Ensure all staff traveling to the program site have a duly filled Travel Authorisation Request (TAR).
Support the entire NRC in Nigeria in the management and coordination, monitoring of Terramac, Abuja CCTV, and staff field travel management.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, including capacities to negotiate with different stakeholders
Report-writing ability and security incident analysis. This will include conflict analysis and research capabilities.
University degree/HND in Social Sciences Courses, e.g., Administration, Security Management, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, Humanitarian/Refugee Affairs, and Disaster Risk Management. An HND in a relevant field will be considered.
0 to 3 years of working experience within a similar function in Humanitarian Access, safety and security management with INGOs, the UN, or the government or private sector.
Previous experience from working in complex, emergency, and development contexts, particularly in Northern Nigeria, is desired.
Basic and advanced computer skills are mandatory (MS Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).
Working skills of communication equipment (VHF Radio, Satellite Phones, GPS tracker, CCTV) is an added advantage.
Basic web-based mapping knowledge or GIS is an added advantage
